Power Cords

A power cord is also known as the mains cable or line cord. The electrical cable connects the appliances with the mains electricity supply temporarily through either an extension cord or a wall socket. The power cords generally consist of cables with country-specific plugs on one end, terminated conductors, exposed conductor wires, and blunt-cut conductors on the other end. Generally, the national electrical codes apply to the power cords and their related equipment. In the case of the USA, the power cords need to meet U standards 62 and 817.
