In Row Cooling

In Row Cooling

Data centers use a specific type of air conditioning system known as the in-row cooling technology, which helps maintain the entire unit's temperature. The cooling units are placed between the server cabinets and kept in a row to efficiently provide cool air to the different server systems. These systems utilize a horizontal airflow pattern that uses the hot/cold aisle configurations. These occupy only the 1/3rd rack of row space without any extra clearance area. Generally, each of these units measures 12 inches wide and 42 inches deep. These can supplement the raised-floor cooling system or may act as the primary cooling source on the slab floor.
