LTO Barcode Labels

LTO Barcode Labels

Each LTO data, diagnostic cartridge, and cleaning processed by the tape library must be available with a bar code label. Typically, the bar code label comprises a volume serial number that is user-readable and a bar code that is only readable by the library. So, the barcode bears the information, whether the cartridge is a data or diagnostic cartridge or leaning. Also, it includes a two-character media-type identifier Lx, where = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, T, U, V, W, X, or Y. In the case of M or L, it identifies the cartridge as the LTO cartridge. One indicates that the cartridge belongs to the first generation, while the other numbers denote accordingly of its types.
