SD-WAN or software-defined wide area network refers to the virtualised service that connects while extending the enterprise networks over extended geographical distances. The WANs utilise the links like multiprotocol label switching, virtual private networks, broadband, wireless, and the internet to provide users with remote access to corporate services, applications, resources, and more. It enables them to work from anywhere and still get access to their office resources. In addition, SD-WAN can monitor the WAN connections' performances and thereby manage the traffic while maintaining high speeds to optimise the connectivity.
